Description
Sweetland Farm is a highly diversified, 200-acre family farm in Norwich, Vermont, overlooking the Ompompanoosuc River. We utilize ecological practices on conserved farmland to grow a wide variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables for our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and year-round, full-diet farm stand.
Our livestock, including pigs, turkeys, and chickens, are raised free-range on lush pastures. We also produce high-quality feed hay for animals throughout the Upper Valley. The farm’s infrastructure includes multiple greenhouses, a farm store, wash/pack facilities, two large barns, and crew housing.
The majority of our vegetable fields and Eco-Apple certified orchard are located on the upper farm along Kerwin Hill Road. We also offer two extensive pick-your-own gardens for our CSA members featuring fresh flowers, herbs, and specialty vegetables.
We host several community events, including “Tasty Tuesdays” with local food vendors and a kid-friendly picnic area. Our seasonal calendar features an annual spring celebration and open house, as well as a Fall Festival. The festival includes food trucks, cider pressing, and a benefit 5k supporting our neighbor’s non-profit animal sanctuary and children’s program.
