Haunted state police detective Art Walker has been dispatched to the misty mountains of Vermont in search of a legendary killer, guided by fractured dreams of a solitary witness. When he discovers the woman is repressing a budding vampiric hunger, the situation escalates as the killer comes back to tie up loose ends. Art is forced into a confrontation with the killer who has a physical anomaly that gives him a lethal edge in a gunfight.
