Brandon StCyr

Producer/director, VFX artist and production designer.

Brandon’s film career officially started the day his uncle took him to see Empire Strikes Back in the theater in 1980, but he was only 5 years old so his vocation would take a bit of time yet. Growing up in Vermont, Hollywood, seemed a bit out of reach.

Things got rolling again in the early 2000’s when he co-produced and was production designer on the feature film – CRYSTAL RIVER (2008) in Atlanta, GA. Since then, and after moving back to Vermont, he has produced/directed numerous short films; most notably the arthurian fantasy – THE GREEN KNIGHT (2023), a 40-min ‘short’ shot entirely in the state and is on SVOD. More recently, he is involved with a number of Vermont-grown projects as a producer as well as his own projects under his production company Kid Brother Pictures along with his producing partner, Mark Freeman.

As a visual effects artist, he has had the pleasure of working on a variety of film, TV, and documentary projects. Including as VFX supervisor on the feature film, THE YORKIE WEREWOLF (2024) by director Michael Dibiasio, feature doc BIRDS OF AMERICA by Director/Cinematographer Matt Aeberhard and writer/producer Melanie Finn, and other short films and music videos.

Brandon is always looking to contribute to the filmmaking community as a whole, but especially here in Vermont where he has chosen to live, work and raise a family. When he’s not on set, he’s at home in his log cabin either in front of the woodstove or in front of some complicated VFX shot.
